4th of July Weekend Fun!

Allison is showing off her stars and stripes after the July 4th parade.  She enjoyed it and liked seeing a small pony and watching all the candy being thrown from the floats.  They tossed out so much candy, we had the bowl almost filled.

On Sunday, the weather was finally nice to enjoy the pool.  Allison wasn't scared of it this year, and let Jon push her around on the raft.  It was still too cold for her to go completely in ( too cold for me too, that's why I am taking the picture).  After, she soaked in some sun and was acting like such a big girl.

Allison's New "Big Girl" Room

We have been working on setting Allison's new room up for a week in a half, and it was finally ready for her to sleep in tonight!  She was so excited so hopefully it will encourage her to stay in her bed all night.  It's hard to believe she is old enough to have a big girl room.  Now our next project is getting her old room ready for the new baby.

Memorial Day

We had a nice quiet day at home for Memorial Day.  We didn't make it out for the parade in town, but I dressed Allison up anyway.  Every year I get her one patriotic outfit I think this is the cutest one yet.  Benson enjoyed posing for the pictures too.

Allison and Jon had a nice holiday treat of lobster!  Since I don't like lobster both of them devoured 2 big ones.  Allison really loves it and had almost a whole one herself!

While Jon was getting the pool ready he encountered a new visitor.  This is the largest garter snake we have seen.  It keeps hanging around the pool pump, we think it might have a nest nearby.  Allison likes watching it.

New Haircut and Allison's Afternoon with Uncle Charles and Aunt Jen

Allison got her haircut on Tuesday.  She did well sitting for the hairdresser.  I was unsure before we went in, because Allison was saying it would hurt her head to get her haircut.  I had her cut it a little different this time.  A little straighter on the sides and shorter in the back.

Allison had a great time when Charles and Jen babysat her last Saturday.  She loves the camera!

A Sneak Peek at the Next Baby Marines!

I had an ultrasound on Wednesday, and here is a photo of a photo from the appointment.  Everything looked great, and it looks like we are going to have another active one.  That is a little arm up by his or her head.  Even though, I can't feel any movement yet, this baby was kicking and twisting the whole time.  The heartbeat was 167.  Allison's was high like that too, so it heartbeats mean anything- maybe another girl???

Benson's a member of the Marines family too!

How could we forget about Benson!  Here are some pics after he came back from the groomers. All clean, trimmed and fluffy.  He always smells so good when he comes back.  Then the real challenge is keeping him from rolling in the grass and dirt.

Easter Number 2, Easter Number 1 and Shrine Circus Outing

Allison searching for eggs at our Greek Easter celebration on the 19th at Yia Yia's and Papou's in Saco. Allison made a new friend with Toby, cousin Elizabeth's and Chris's new puppy.

She is quite a pro at searching for eggs now as her Easter holiday actually began  last week at home with a visit from the Easter bunny, then off to Nona's house.  The chilly, breezy day didn't keep Allison from searching for m+m filled eggs.  After each egg she picked up, she shook it first to make sure there was something in it.

Nona, Allison and I ventured off to the Shrine Circus today.  We were a little uncertain at first if Allison was going to like it, but after a little while she was clapping and laughing.  The tigers
caught her interest right away, and so did the dancing poodles.  She was a bit weary of the clowns, and when they were dumping buckets of paint on each other, she
said they were "naughty and were making a mess
and should clean it up."
